They have been expressing fears that the new ‘This Is It’ movie will end up being a propaganda movie for the concert promoters AEG.

People who have talked with the family report that they are concerned that the movie’s edit will give the impression that Jackson was fit enough for his 50-date tour.

The film is due out at the end of October after originally receiving the green light from a judge linked with Jackson’s estate.

The film was put together using 100′s of hours of rehearsal footage shot in Los Angeles in the months leading up to Jackson’s death and is directed by the tour director, Kenny Ortega.

Sawf news recently reported that the family are of the opinion that the movie only includes the best clips from Michael jackson’s pre-tour final rehearsals.

“He supposedly looks fit, together and excited,” an insider is reported to have said.

The family aren’t able to speak out openly because some of the proceeds will be being  paid into the trust, but in private, they are concerned that the movie is a kind of propaganda to support AEG’s argument that Michael was healthy and wasn’t in fact being exploited while he was alive. The film is set to be a massive money maker and the question still remains, is he being exploited even now?

Fans may wish to remember Michael as the legendary King of Pop and this film caters to their needs but the family is still suspicious of AEG and how they have actually handled MJ.

On the other hand Steve Elzer of Sony is reported by Sawf news, to have commented that concerns about any editing of the movie made “no sense and don’t deserve comment”.

And it was reported that Janet Jackson and Madonna danced and gave emotional tributes to the Pop legend and icon, Michael jackson at this event, the biggest gathering of famous named personalities in the world of music, TV, film and sports

They reported (quote) that “Madonna opened the show and introduced the emotional and heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson was joined onstage by the most renowned choreographers in the world and Michael’s tour dancers, all of whom were influenced by the “King of Pop,” for a memorable and high energy performance.”

The dancers danced a tribute with famous scenes from Michael’s most popular productions, including “Thriller” and “Bad” which almost brought the house down judging by the enthusiastic appreciation of all attendees who gave a standing ovation

Amongst all of the other top stars, outstanding  performances, awards and ceremonies, Michael jackson certainly asn’t out of place

Attendees were also shown some part of the proposed  “This is it” tour footage prior to it going public as the upcoming Michael Jackson film ‘This Is It’.

Here is a trailer snippet, an edited down version of the massive amounts of footage  take during MJ’s rehearsals for his upcoming tour.

I think this is a historical capture of something very special here. whatever way the actual tour would have gone off it is good to speculate that this might have definitely been a big comeback for him. His last album ‘Invincible’, showed a lot of promise and showed he still had what it takes to wow the world all over again.

It was held by his family in California at the Glendale Memorial Park and with no more than about 200 close friends and relatives of the deceased King of Pop. Guests included long time close friend, Elizabeth taylor, Gladys knight and his ex-wife Lisa Presley.

His coffin was bedecked in white flowers and a jewelled crown placed on top.

It had been thought earlier that Michael’s body might have come to rest at his favourite residence, the Neverland ranch, but in the end it was decided to lay him to rest at Forest lawn in the company of legends such as Clark gable and W.C Fields

His mother, Katherine Jackson appeard to be very tired as she was given help to get into the car at the close of the proceedings and it seems that she had struggled with being able to enter the mausoleum earlier and may not have visited her son’s body at all.

His fans gathered from across the world to come and say their final farewell to their legendary pop hero but the crowd of about a thousand or so were a lot less than the quarter of a million that had been anticipated by police who had earlier warned people who didn’t have tickets to stay away.

Fans were able to buy something to remember him by as Michael Jackson memorabilia were on sale close by. Some of the fans also could be seen sporting typical MJ clothing such as sequined white socks and the famous red jacket of Thriller days and there was no trouble from the crowds, although there were a few protesters shouting condemnations and accusations with reference to Mj’s earlier child-molestation charges. Others remembered him with fonness for his kindness and childlike innocent ways and with appreciation for the musical genius he shared with the world.

He was celebrated as a singer, dancer, humanitarian and as a unique wonder in his own right

“Michael has been called home to sing with the angels, I will miss him dearly,” and added “We would like to thank all of Michael’s loving fans for their tremendous support, and ask that in Michael’s memory give of yourself to the charities he believed in, and keep the magic going!”

Grace Rwaramba, MJ’s longtime nanny talks about Michael Jackson’s drug taking

According to reports, the nanny gave a grim account of the singer’s final months, detailing drug abuse, out of control spending and nomadic lifestyle

It is reported that the nanny who looked after Michael Jackson’s three children said  the star had his stomach pumped “many times” after taking a dangerous cocktail of prescription drugs.

Apparently, Grace Rwaramba, 42, told the Sunday Times: “I had to pump his stomach many times. He always mixed so much of it. There was one period that it was so bad that I didn’t let the children see him … He always ate too little and mixed too much.”

However recently she also claimed that the reports that she pumped Jackson’s stomach several times are bogus

Los Angeles police yesterday confirmed news reports that Jackson had become “heavily addicted” to the powerful painkiller OxyContin and had received an injection of Demerol, another opiate, an hour before his death. Detectives are expected to interview Rwaramba about whether she helped administer the drugs.

The nanny said she once called in Jackson’s mother, Katherine, and sister, Janet, to attempt an “intervention” to persuade the singer to recognise his addiction to painkillers.

But she said Jackson accused her of betraying him: “He didn’t want to listen; that was one of the times he let me go.”

Rwaramba, who is from Rwanda, worked for Jackson for more than a decade, first as an office assistant and then as the nanny to his children, Michael Jr, known as Prince, aged 12; Paris, 11; and Prince Michael II, seven, nicknamed Blanket.

Rwaramba, who flew from London to Los Angeles yesterday in the hope of being reunited with the children, gave the Sunday Times a grim account of the singer’s final months.

She said the singer’s lavish spending was out of control, and that he led an increasingly nomadic lifestyle, moving from country to country and hotel to hotel.

She was dismissed for a final time last December but still visited the children. When she saw them in April she claims Jackson was so broke she had to buy “happy birthday” balloons for Paris on her own credit card.

On an earlier occasion the singer had sent her to Florence to buy antiques for $1m. “We didn’t even have a home to live in. So we had to put the antiques in storage,” she said.

One theory behind Jackson’s massive drug regimen is that he was taking them to combat the stress of his forthcoming 50 shows at the O2 arena in London. The nanny said: “Fifty performances! I told him … what are you doing? He said, ‘I signed only for 10.’ He didn’t know what he was signing. He never did.”

It is reported that Rwaramba also claimed the Nation of Islam gained a growing influence over the singer’s financial and personal affairs. She says the sect told the singer it cost $100,000 (60,000) a month to rent the mansion he was living in until his death, but she believes similar properties were on the market for no more than $25,000 a month.

The sect allegedly supplied bodyguards to the singer and allegedly intimidated auction houses that were selling Jackson memorabilia.

“Michael had no idea about money,” Rwaramba said. “He got a proposal to make an appearance in Japan for $1m … By the time everyone took their share, he ended up with $200,000.”

Whatever money Jackson had he would hide in black rubbish bags and under the carpets at the Los Angeles house, according to Rwaramba. She said Katherine Jackson rang her in London at 7am on Friday to ask where the money was, possibly to stop it being stolen.

They said: “We’re told the family is 100% behind this, feeling that Katherine and Joe Jackson are the only people who can help the children understand who their father was, help them grieve, and teach them to deal with life in the spotlight.”

Grace Rwaramba responded to the rumors by posting a message on the website of her close friend, Mallika Chopra who is the daughter of Deepak Chopra, one of MJ’s close frinds

“I am shocked, hurt and deeply saddened by recent statements the press has attributed to me, in particular, the outrageous and patently false claim that I ‘routinely pumped his stomach after he had ingested a dangerous combination of drugs.’ I don’t even know how to pump a stomach!!”

I have been a genuine Michael Jackson fan since the release of Bad in the Eighties. The news of his unfortunate heart failure has hit me as if my sister had died.

You really need to know these facts about Michael Jackson to have credibility when talking about his life and death.

Michael Jackson’s middle name was Joseph. He was born 29 August 1958 and died 25 June 2009. He was an American Pop Icon with a reputation as the ‘king of pop’.

Michael Jackson was the seventh child of Joseph Jackson, his natural father. When he was eleven, he hooked up with four of his brothers to start a group called “The Jackson 5”. His father’s role was manager.

Not many people know that Michael had an acting role as a Scarecrow in the 1978 R&B musical “The Wiz”, which was an African American version of “The Wizard of Oz” . He acted along stars such as Diana Ross, Lena Horne, Nipsy Russell and Richard Pryor.

Michael Jackson left the Jackson 5 in the Seventies to start his solo career. He went on to become the most famous global recording artists of all time.

He has several records including the largest number of album sales of all time.

Most of these records are unlikely to be matched because of the passionate interest around the world in his shock death. Many fans are showing their love by wearing tribute t-shirts and attending tribute gatherings.

Michael was going to start the first 50 shows at a London O2 arena earmarked for July 13th 2009.

King of Pop fans across the globe admire and respect Michael Jackson. His moves have inspired artists all over the world, in particular the moonwalk. The world will never see another showman like Michael Jackson. He’ll be badly missed.

The first thing that came to my mind when I heard that Michael Jackson had died was, is this for real or a just a publicity stunt? I thought that perhaps he was finally tired of the spotlight and maybe he’d had more plastic surgery so he could go away forever in hiding where nobody could ever bother him again.

Gone to hide and play in Neverland

Maybe he did that by dying. Nobody happy with themselves would ever try to transform themselves in the way that Michael Jackson did with plastic surgery. His pain was literally written all over his face. He went from a happy-looking, talented little kid to a Howard Hughes-class recluse.

I feel sorry for Michael Jackson because he was desperately looking for something and he never found it. Perhaps it was a missing childhood that he apparently tried to experience with boys. Perhaps it was seeking the love of a father, something that he thought he was giving back to those boys in some twisted way.

There is no doubt in looking back on Michael’s life that pain clouds the view; his pain and the pain he caused for others through his actions. The pain of the man obscures his accomplishments as a musician in spite of his thrilling musical talent; after all, who lived through the 1980′s that was not impacted by his music in some way?

I am so sad that a man can become so isolated and alone that he can commit such atrocities against himself, and perhaps against others. I am so sad that like Peter Pan, Michael Jackson never grew up.

Perhaps the ultimate truth of Peter Pan’s story is loneliness. Perhaps the truth of Peter Pan is that ultimately his isolation is inevitable as those he loves grow up and eventually fail to relate to the child that he remains; that is at least, in the joyful way that another child is able, in the way that Michael seemed to value most.

Perhaps the intrinsic sadness of Michael Jackson emanated from the transitory form of love that a Peter Pan is capable of experiencing. Perhaps it emerges from the unchangeable fact that those who Peter Pan truly loves are unstoppably changing – into adults he is incapable of truly loving; and perhaps that lack of capacity is rooted in the fact that he cannot love himself as an adult.

I hear about people celebrating Michael Jackson’s life and I wonder how they are doing that in the face of the miserable loneliness of it. His celebrity and his talent was no cure for his pain and his death was a predictable end to a terribly sad life. In the end, Peter Pan could not make the transition from boy to man. I would not be surprised to learn that it was by his own choices that Michael returned to Neverland.

Sales of albums and songs rocket after death, putting him back on top of the music charts all over the world

Michael Jackson dreamed of a global comeback that would make his moniker “the King of Pop” a reality once more rather than a throwback to happier times.

Now, in a grim twist of fate, his untimely death has achieved just that as sales of his albums and songs have rocketed, putting him back on top of the music charts all over the world.

There is even the prospect of a new Jackson song being released after self-help guru Deepak Chopra revealed details yesterday of what he said was Jackson’s last recording. The Good Morning America TV show played a brief tune, without any words, which Chopra said was part of a song the friends were working on together and which would have addressed environmental issues.

“Michael called me a while ago and said he wanted to do something for the environment,” Chopra said. “It is in fact the last music he made. We were going to write the words for it.

“We were saying the trees are our lungs, the air is our breath,” Chopra added, describing the song as comparing Earth to a human body.

But it is Jackson’s old songs that have generated all the interest in the past two days, with sales surging in almost every country of almost every song that Jackson produced. Within hours of his death three of his albums were in the top 10 chart of iTunes.

By Friday all of Amazon’s top 15 albums were Jackson’s work, and his songs accounted for 60% of all music sales at the online retailer. That meant more Jackson songs had been sold on Amazon in 24 hours than in the past 11 years. Other music stores, including Barnes and Noble and Borders, reported a similar rise in sales.

Michael Jackson’s first album as an adult solo artist was the Off the Wall album released in 1979  when Michael was only 19 years old. Up to that point Jackson was more well known as the lead singer of the Jackson Five than as a solo artist although he did have a solo #1 single in 1972 with “Ben.”

Off the Wall established Jackson as a star in his own right (apart from the Jackson Five.) It included two #1 singles “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough” &”Rock with You” and has sold over 7 million copies to date in the United States alone.

His next album, 1982′s Thriller, established Jackson as a true superstar. In fact Jackson was so “big”during this time that probably the only valid comparisons as far as level of fame can be made with Elvis Presley in the 1950s and The Beatles in the 1960s.

Thriller went on to be the biggest selling studio album in world history and it still holds that title today. Thriller was more than just an album, it was a phenomenon and it was known for more than it’s music. The music videos made for the album changed the medium forever. In particular the groundbreaking “Thriller” video is likely the most famous video ever made and many still consider it to be the greatest achievement in music video history.

At this point Michael Jackson was the biggest pop star in the world. But over the next 27 years (until his untimely tragic death on June 25, 2009)he released only four studio albums: 1987′s Bad, 1991′s Dangerous, 1995′s HIStory, and 2001′s Invincible.

So was Michael really so “unproductive” during these 27 years or was he holding back a lot of recorded material? There are rumors that the latter is true. In fact, earlier this year it was reported that Jackson has over 100 songs recorded that have yet to be released and that he purposely set aside to only be released following his death.

Is that true? I don’t know. But if it is it gives MJ fans something to look forward to. Even though the “King of Pop” is gone, he may still have more music to share with us after all.

In the 50s there was Elvis. In the 60s there were the Beatles. The 70s and 80s gave us Michael Jackson, the first black artist to become the number one global pop star of his age. Unlike any other vocalist, the energy and explosiveness of both his music and his showmanship captured all races in all nations. He was the Barack Obama of music.

I remember as a student in Notting-ham around 1982-83, when every weekend party had his Thriller album playing in the background. Not just the odd track, but the whole album. At our own party, back in those Betamax days, we even played the video.

When he toured Britain in 1988, the first question any friend would ask was: “Have you go the Jacko tickets yet?” Though Madonna and Prince were superstars by then, Jackson’s was still the number one show in town.

For black people, just as with Obama, his success was our success. The fact that the audience at his Wembley stadium concert that year was predominantly white did not mean that somehow his music was less true to his soul. It was just a sign that here was a black man who was so talented that people of all colors couldn’t help loving him.

By this stage the media was well into its “Wacko Jacko” obsession. And it is true that his skin-lightening was a problem – seen by many as a sign of his desperation for acceptance into a white world. Neither, during his peak years, did he stray into race or politics (apart from the bland message of Black or White).

But though it would have been easy to label him an Uncle Tom, even the most radical black folk understood that underlying all his weirdness, his idiosyncrasies, his strange lifestyle choices, was a uniquely gifted character whose story was inspirational.

Michael Jackson was the ultimate pop showman, but dogged by allegations of child abuse

Controversy came early in the life of Michael Jackson. The pop star, who made his debut on the international music scene, aged 11, told Martin Bashir in a 2003 documentary that during his childhood he was abused and bullied by his father. The father, who managed the band, would beat him and his brothers with a belt if they made mistakes in their dance routines, he said.

Much of Jackson’s adult life was plagued by rumors that he had extensive plastic surgery, as his skin became noticeably lighter over the years, a fact the singer attributed to the medical condition vitiligo.

As Jackson became increasingly detached from reality there were stories of excessive shopping sprees and rumors that he slept in an oxygen tent, resulting in the moniker “Wacko Jacko”.

In 1993, he was accused of child abuse by the father of 13-year-old Jordie Chander, who claimed the singer had performed sex acts with the child. Detectives are believed to have interviewed the boy and other youngsters, including the then 12-year-old actor Macaulay Caulkin, star of the Home Alone films, who had visited Jackson’s Neverland ranch.

Jackson denied the accusations and was never charged; a civil case was settled out of court in early 1994, when he reportedly paid the child $20m (14m).
